Learn from lifelong hiker and Appalachian Mountain Club guidebook author Alison O’Leary about planning and executing safe and enjoyable hikes. 

Topics include:

  • Gear you don’t have to buy.
  • Solos – resources for connecting with other hikers.
  •  Check lists that ensure you’re prepared.
  •  A route-by-route plan to build skills.
  •  Suggestions for longer, more challenging hikes.

Alison O’Leary is author of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Best Day Hikes Near Boston guidebook. She’s a finisher of the NE67 and Winter 48 hikes.
